Located in the Easterhouse area of Glasgow, a new school building is currently under construction, and is due for completion in December 2001. At present, the school is housed in a three storey building and facilities include two gymnasiums, a games hall, six ICT rooms, one media laboratory, eight science laboratories, one drama studio, a 'large' library and specialist facilities for home economics, art, technology and music. In the school grounds, there is a football/hockey pitch and an all-weather running track. The remainder of the grounds are landscaped. The school provides a 'high level of support to pupils and families within the Easterhouse area of Glasgow'. There are a 'host' of clubs which operate at lunch time and after school for pupils. The 'sporting field is varied' and includes opportunities to become involved in basketball, hockey and weightlifting. Two staff and ICT facilities comprise the support for learning base, for children with special educational needs (SEN). The school also operates paired-reading and pupil mentor schemes.
